I am the founder and CEO of BUER China Travel, with long-term experience across China domestic tourism, outbound travel from China, and inbound travel for international visitors to China, I realized that while China is an incredibly rich and diverse destination, many international travelers only experience it at a surface level. This realization became the turning point that led me to focus fully on inbound travel — and on improving how China is experienced through well-designed, thoughtful journeys. 

Today, my focus is on creating meaningful travel experiences for international guests visiting China. I pay close attention to how each journey flows — from pacing and comfort to cultural understanding — ensuring that travel feels well-structured, natural, and connected.

Working closely with local teams across China, I continue to refine how we design and deliver each itinerary, based on both on-the-ground experience and a clear understanding of what international travelers truly value.

I have been working in China's inbound travel industry for over 10 years, focusing on designing private journeys for international travelers and shaping how travel experiences are created across different destinations in China.

What matters to me most is not just where a trip goes, but how it feels for the traveler — the pacing of the journey, the comfort along the way, and whether each moment adds something meaningful to the overall experience. I always try to look at China through the eyes of the traveler, and design journeys that feel natural, balanced, and personally relevant.

Over the years, I have worked closely with guests from different countries, helping shape travel experiences across China's key destinations. This has given me a clear understanding of what truly matters when people travel here — not rushing from place to place, but having time to understand, experience, and connect.

For me, travel is not about checking places off a list, but about experiences that stay with you long after you return home, because real travel is not about how much you see, but how deeply you feel it.

Hi I'm Silas, I moved to New Zealand to study in 2014 and began my career in the travel industry after graduation, designing itineraries and managing tours for international groups. Later, I worked in tourism real estate and destination operations in Tekapo, gaining hands-on experience in how destinations function beyond the surface.

In 2023, I returned to China and joined BUER China Travel in Hangzhou, focused on bringing China's travel experiences to global travelers.

With over 8 years of experience in Inbound Travel Agency, I always begin by listening carefully to each traveler's needs and turning them into well-planned, comfortable, and meaningful itineraries. From senior-friendly pacing to hotel selection and route design, I focus on making every journey feel personal and thoughtfully arranged.

Over the years, many of my guests have traveled with me across different regions of China, including Yunnan, Chengdu, Chongqing, Suzhou, Nanjing, and Hangzhou. I often stay closely involved throughout the trip to ensure everything runs smoothly and to provide support whenever needed.

For me, travel is not just about places — it is about understanding people and creating journeys that truly fit them.

Over the past 4 years, I have had the pleasure of helping travelers from different parts of the world plan their China adventures and turn their travel ideas into unforgettable experiences.
