As soon as you land in Beijing, the experience already feels effortless. Our driver will be waiting for you inside the arrival hall with a clear name sign, so you don't need to worry about navigating the airport, currency exchange confusion, or finding transportation after a long flight.
Once you meet your driver, you'll be escorted directly to a private, air-conditioned vehicle. The drive into the city usually takes around 40–60 minutes depending on traffic. Along the way, you'll start to notice the first contrast of Beijing—wide highways, layers of modern districts, and hints of ancient capital history hidden between new developments.
Upon arrival at your hotel, we'll assist with check-in to make sure everything goes smoothly. If your room is not ready yet, your luggage will be securely stored while you rest in the lobby or explore nearby areas at your own pace.
The rest of the day is intentionally kept light. After a long international journey, this is your time to reset—take a shower, rest, or simply enjoy your first slow moment in China. If you still feel like stepping out later, we can suggest easy nearby walking areas such as local hutong streets or a casual dinner spot close to your hotel. It's not about sightseeing today—it's about easing into the rhythm of the trip comfortably.
After breakfast at your hotel, your guide and driver will meet you in the lobby and take you on a comfortable drive out of the city toward the Mutianyu Great Wall. The journey takes around 1.5 to 2 hours, and you'll gradually leave Beijing's urban landscape behind, watching it shift into rolling hills, forested valleys, and quiet countryside.
Mutianyu is one of the most scenic and best-preserved sections of the Great Wall. Compared with the busier sections closer to the city, it offers a more relaxed atmosphere, giving you space to actually enjoy the scale and silence of the mountains. Once you arrive, you can choose to take the cable car up or start your experience with a gentle walk through the forested hillside.
At the top, the wall unfolds along the mountain ridge in both directions, curving through watchtowers and disappearing into layers of green peaks. This is where the experience slows down—you can walk along the ancient stone path at your own pace, pause at different towers, and take in wide-open views that stretch far beyond the horizon. Your guide will also share stories about how the wall was built and how it was used for defense across different dynasties, adding depth to what you see.
Around midday, we'll take a break for a local-style lunch at a nearby restaurant. The meal is simple, fresh, and designed to help you recharge without feeling heavy, so you can continue the day comfortably.
In the afternoon, we descend the mountain and drive back to Beijing. Depending on timing and your energy level, we can pass by or briefly stop near the Olympic area to see landmarks like the Bird's Nest and Water Cube from the outside before returning to your hotel.
By the time you arrive back, the city lights will start to come alive, and you'll feel the contrast between ancient stone walls and modern Beijing all in one day.
After breakfast, your driver will meet you at the hotel and transfer you to Beijing airport for your flight to Zhangjiajie. Everything is arranged in advance, so you don't need to worry about tickets or timing—we simply coordinate your departure so the transition feels smooth and stress-free.
As you leave Beijing behind, the landscape below gradually changes from dense urban grids to open plains and then to greener, more mountainous terrain as you fly south. It's a quiet but noticeable shift in scenery that sets the tone for what's coming next.
Upon arrival at Zhangjiajie Airport, your local driver will already be waiting at the exit with your name sign. From here, you'll be driven directly to your hotel near the Wulingyuan Scenic Area, the main gateway to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. The drive itself is the first introduction to the region—misty hills, deep green forests, and dramatic limestone peaks beginning to appear in the distance.
After check-in, the rest of the day is kept light so you can adjust comfortably. Zhangjiajie has a very different rhythm compared to Beijing—it feels slower, more natural, and almost surreal in atmosphere. If you arrive early, we can arrange a gentle walk around the nearby village or hotel area, giving you a soft introduction to the landscape without rushing into sightseeing.
This is the point where the journey begins to shift from cultural landmarks into pure natural scenery. Tomorrow, the "Avatar mountains" will fully reveal themselves.
After breakfast, your guide will meet you at the hotel and take you directly into Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. From the moment you enter the park, the scenery starts to change—dense forest, rising mist, and dramatic sandstone pillars gradually appear as you move deeper into the valley.
We begin the day with a ride on the famous Bailong Elevator, one of the most impressive outdoor glass elevators in the world. In just a few minutes, you rise straight up the cliff face, and the entire landscape opens up beneath you—layers of green peaks, narrow valleys, and stone columns stretching into the clouds.
At the top, we explore Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, the heart of the "Avatar mountains." This is where the floating Hallelujah Mountains were inspired. Walking along the viewing platforms, you'll see towering sandstone pillars rising vertically from the ground, often partially hidden by drifting mist. It feels less like a hiking trail and more like moving through a natural stone forest suspended in the sky.
We take our time here, moving slowly between viewpoints like the First Bridge Under Heaven and the Avatar Hallelujah Mountain area. Your guide will choose the best walking route based on weather and crowd conditions so you can experience the most photogenic angles without rushing.
Around midday, we pause for a simple local lunch near the scenic area. The food is not fancy, but it's freshly prepared and perfect for recharging before continuing the exploration.
In the afternoon, we continue to Tianzi Mountain, known for its wide panoramic views. While Yuanjiajie feels close and immersive, Tianzi Mountain opens everything up—you'll see layer after layer of peaks stretching into the distance, especially beautiful when clouds move through the valleys. If the weather is right, the entire landscape shifts constantly, almost like a moving painting.
Later in the day, we descend back to the hotel. The drive is calm and quiet, and you'll likely still be processing what you've seen—because Zhangjiajie doesn't feel like a normal mountain landscape, but more like a dream you've walked through.
After breakfast, your driver will pick you up from the hotel and take you to Zhangjiajie Airport for your flight to Shanghai. Everything is pre-arranged, so the transfer is smooth and timed according to your flight schedule—no waiting, no coordination stress on your side.
As you leave Zhangjiajie, the scenery outside the window slowly fades from dramatic limestone peaks and deep green valleys into softer hills and wider plains. It's a quiet transition, almost like stepping out of a dream landscape back into the modern world.
Upon arrival in Shanghai, your local driver will be waiting at the airport exit with your name sign and will take you directly to your hotel in the city center. The moment you enter Shanghai, the atmosphere changes completely—wide roads, glowing billboards, and a fast-moving urban rhythm replace the silence of the mountains.
After check-in, the rest of the day is free for you to rest or explore at your own pace. If you arrive in the afternoon or early evening, we usually recommend a gentle walk along The Bund. This is where Shanghai first reveals its personality: on one side, historic European-style buildings; on the other, the futuristic skyline of Lujiazui across the river.
It's a simple evening, but it marks a very clear shift in the journey—from natural wonders to one of Asia's most dynamic cities.
After breakfast at your hotel, your guide and driver will meet you in the lobby and take you out for a full day exploring Shanghai's most iconic contrasts. Today is designed to show you how this city holds both its past and future in one frame.
We start the morning in the Old City area, visiting Yuyuan Garden and the surrounding traditional streets. Here, narrow lanes, carved wooden architecture, and classical pavilions give you a completely different feeling from the Shanghai you saw yesterday. The atmosphere is lively but grounded in history, and your guide will walk you through how this area once formed the heart of the ancient city.
From there, we move into the City God Temple area, where you can explore local snack streets and small shops. This is a good moment to slow down a little, try some local bites if you like, and observe everyday life in Shanghai rather than just its landmarks.
After lunch at a carefully selected local restaurant, we continue to the Former French Concession. The mood shifts again—this time to tree-lined streets, quiet cafés, and European-style villas hidden behind plane trees. It's one of the most walkable and relaxed parts of Shanghai, and we take our time here so you can feel the contrast between different eras of the city.
In the afternoon, we head toward the Bund and Lujiazui area. This is where Shanghai's identity becomes fully visible. On one side, historic colonial buildings line the river; on the other, futuristic skyscrapers rise into the sky. Standing here, you can clearly see how Shanghai connects its past and future in a single view.
As the day winds down, you can choose to stay longer at the Bund for sunset and night views, or return to your hotel to rest. The illuminated skyline is especially impressive after dark, and it's often one of the most memorable moments of the entire trip.
After breakfast at your hotel, your driver will take you to the high-speed train station for your journey from Shanghai to Huangshan. Everything is pre-arranged in advance, so the transfer is smooth and aligned with your train schedule.
As the train leaves Shanghai, the scenery gradually shifts from dense urban skylines and industrial zones to rivers, farmland, and finally the more traditional landscapes of southern Anhui. It's a quiet but beautiful transition, showing you a completely different side of China beyond the big cities.
Upon arrival at Huangshan North Railway Station, your local driver will be waiting at the exit with your name sign. From here, we transfer you directly to your hotel near the mountain area or Tunxi district, depending on your itinerary arrangement.
In the afternoon, if time allows, we take you to Tunxi Old Street, one of the best-preserved ancient commercial streets in the region. Walking here feels like stepping into a slower rhythm of life—wooden shopfronts, traditional Hui-style architecture, tea houses, and small local stores line both sides of the street. It's a gentle introduction to Anhui culture before heading into the mountains.
You can enjoy a relaxed walk, try some local snacks, or simply sit down in a tea shop and observe the atmosphere. Unlike the busy cities earlier in the trip, Huangshan feels quieter, more grounded, and deeply connected to traditional Chinese aesthetics. The rest of the evening is free for rest and preparation for tomorrow's Huangshan mountain exploration.
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to the entrance of Mount Huangshan Scenic Area. From here, the journey gradually moves upward—either by cable car or shuttle depending on the route arrangement and weather conditions.
As you ascend, the landscape changes quickly. Forests become denser, air becomes cooler, and the mountain peaks start to emerge above the clouds. The entire experience feels like entering a completely different world.
We begin the exploration around the Yuping Scenic Area, where some of the most iconic views of Huangshan can be found, including the legendary Welcoming Pine (Yingke Song). This ancient pine, growing out of a cliffside, has become one of the symbols of Chinese mountain scenery. Standing here, you'll immediately understand why Huangshan has inspired poets and painters for centuries.
From Yuping, we continue toward Bright Summit (Guangming Ding), one of the highest accessible points on the mountain. The views here are wide and open—on clear days, you can see layers of peaks stretching endlessly into the distance. When clouds roll in, the entire landscape transforms into a sea of white, with mountain tops floating like islands above the mist.
Around midday, we take a simple lunch at a mountain restaurant. The food is basic but warm and practical, designed to give you energy for the rest of the exploration.
In the afternoon, depending on your pace and weather conditions, your guide will adjust the route. You may continue exploring nearby peaks, pine forests, and viewing platforms, or take a more relaxed walk through scenic paths that overlook valleys filled with drifting clouds. What makes Huangshan special is not just individual viewpoints, but how the entire mountain changes throughout the day. Light, mist, and wind constantly reshape the scenery, so no two moments look the same.
Later in the afternoon, we return to the hotel at the mountain base or Tunxi area. The descent feels calm and reflective—after a full day surrounded by peaks and clouds, the silence of the lower valley feels almost grounding.
After breakfast, we descend from the Huangshan mountain area and transfer you to Huangshan North Railway Station for your high-speed train back to Shanghai. The journey is smooth and fully arranged, so you don't need to worry about timing or logistics—your guide will coordinate everything in advance.
As the train moves eastward, the scenery gradually shifts again—from misty mountains and traditional Anhui villages to rivers, farmland, and eventually the dense urban landscape of Shanghai. It's a quiet transition that marks the return from nature back into city life.
Upon arrival at Shanghai railway station, your local driver will be waiting at the exit with your name sign and will take you directly back to your hotel. After several days of mountain exploration, this is a good moment to slow down and rest.
The rest of the day is kept flexible. You can choose to relax at the hotel, do some light shopping, or revisit areas you enjoyed earlier in Shanghai such as The Bund or the French Concession for a final evening walk. If you prefer a more relaxed pace, this day also works perfectly as a recovery day—enjoy a café, take a slow stroll, or simply soak in the last full day of your journey in China.
After breakfast at your hotel, you will have some free time depending on your flight schedule. This is your final morning in China, and the pace is intentionally relaxed so you can pack comfortably and enjoy a slow start to the day.
At the confirmed departure time, your driver will meet you at the hotel lobby for a private transfer to Shanghai airport. There is no need to worry about navigation, luggage handling, or timing—we coordinate everything in advance to ensure a smooth and stress-free departure. Upon arrival at the airport, your driver will assist you with luggage and drop you off at the correct terminal, making sure you are fully ready for check-in and departure procedures. This marks the end of your 10-day journey across China's most iconic landscapes and cities.
