Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, take a private vehicle to the core central area of Beijing to start a full-day in-depth exploration of the city's most prestigious imperial landmarks. First, arrive at Tiananmen Square, the world's largest urban central square and the most iconic symbolic landmark of China. Boasting a grand and solemn layout spanning a vast area, the square is surrounded by magnificent modern architectures and century-old imperial buildings, carrying profound historical heritage and national significance. Stand on the spacious square to admire the towering Tiananmen Gate, solemn national flag platform and grand architectural panorama, feel the supreme and majestic momentum of China's capital center, and capture classic travel photos of this world-famous landmark.

Walk directly from Tiananmen Square to the Forbidden City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world's largest and best-preserved ancient imperial palace complex, serving as the supreme political and cultural center of China's Ming and Qing dynasties for over 600 years. This stunning architectural masterpiece consists of nearly 9,000 palace rooms, rigorous central-axis symmetrical layouts, majestic golden glazed tile roofs and towering red palace walls. Every corridor, courtyard and ancient relic carries profound imperial culture and ancient architectural aesthetics. Accompanied by a professional guide, wander through the core imperial halls, appreciate exquisite ancient carvings, painted beams and precious preserved imperial artifacts, and deeply experience the unparalleled grandeur and noble demeanor of ancient Chinese imperial power.

After visiting the Forbidden City, walk north for a short distance to reach Jingshan Park, a classic royal garden sitting on the central axis of Beijing. Built with earth accumulated from the moat of the Forbidden City, this quiet and elegant garden is the perfect panoramic viewing spot overlooking the entire imperial palace complex. Climb to the top viewing platform of Jingshan Hill, and you will have a 360-degree unobstructed view of the fully laid-out Forbidden City ancient building clusters, the neat urban central axis and the modern Beijing city skyline. The layered ancient architectural groups and distant urban scenery blend perfectly, presenting a stunning visual contrast of ancient and modern Beijing, which is the best spot for full-view photography of the Forbidden City.

In the afternoon, drive a short distance to the Summer Palace, China's largest and most complete preserved classical imperial garden, also a world-famous cultural heritage landmark. Nestled against the verdant Wanshou Mountain and embracing the vast Kunming Lake, the entire garden covers a huge area, integrating magnificent mountain landscapes, vast lake scenery and exquisite ancient garden architectures. Winding painted corridors, delicate pavilions, elegant stone bridges and lush ancient woods constitute a poetic picture of classical Chinese gardens. Stroll along the lake shore, walk through the century-old corridors, enjoy the serene natural scenery and exquisite imperial garden craftsmanship, and experience the leisurely vacation life of ancient royal families away from the bustling imperial city.

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, take a private vehicle to visit Beijing Zoo, one of China's oldest, largest and most comprehensive urban zoological gardens with a century-long history. Nestled in the bustling urban area of Beijing, this well-preserved ecological park perfectly integrates wildlife protection, popular science education and leisure sightseeing, boasting a superior natural environment with lush foliage, verdant lawns and serene water landscapes all year round.

Home to hundreds of rare wild animal species from all over the world, the zoo is most famous for its resident giant pandas, China's national treasures. You can watch the cute giant pandas leisurely eating bamboo, playing and resting up close, alongside other rare creatures including golden snub-nosed monkeys, Siberian tigers, Asian elephants and various exotic birds. It is an ideal scenic spot for ecological sightseeing and family leisure travel, allowing you to get close to diverse wildlife and feel the vitality of nature in the center of the capital city.

After finishing the zoo visit, continue driving about 1.5 hours northward out of the urban area, leaving the bustling city scenery behind and heading for the mountainous area in northern Beijing. Along the way, the urban buildings gradually transition to lush dense mountain forests and rolling green hills, with fresh and natural air, creating a comfortable prelude to the Great Wall exploration.

Finally arrive at Mutianyu Great Wall, one of the most well-preserved, safest and most beautiful sections of the entire Great Wall and a prestigious UNESCO World Heritage Site. Unlike the crowded and noisy sections, Mutianyu Great Wall features winding wall bodies stretching continuously along the undulating mountain ridges, surrounded by lush vegetation and layered mountain views all year round. Well-preserved ancient watchtowers, solid city walls and complete military defense systems fully reproduce the grand scale of ancient military fortifications. You can take a cable car up the mountain effortlessly, hike slowly along the ancient ramparts, touch the weathered ancient bricks that have stood for thousands of years, overlook the boundless winding Great Wall winding through the mountains, and deeply feel the magnificent momentum and extraordinary historical heritage of this world-famous miracle.

After a full-day immersive dual sightseeing experience of ecology and historical relics, drive back to Beijing urban area. In the free evening, you can wander local characteristic food streets, taste authentic Beijing specialties and northern snacks, fully relax your body and mind, and reserve energy for the cultural exploration of the next day. Accommodation Accommodation:

Wander through the ancient altar and palace halls, appreciate the unique ancient ritual architectural aesthetics, and stroll the open park where local residents gather to practice tai chi, fly kites and play traditional folk music, immersing yourself in the slow, authentic and leisurely daily lifestyle of old Beijing locals.

In the afternoon, continue your in-depth urban cultural exploration to experience the authentic old Beijing style by visiting the city's ancient hutongs. These crisscrossing narrow alleyways are the most authentic carrier of Beijing's centuries-old folk culture, hiding countless traditional courtyard residences that have stood for hundreds of years. Take a comfortable rickshaw ride through the winding quiet alleys, bypassing low antique courtyard walls and old wooden doors, and pay a visit to a local family's private courtyard. Get close to the simple daily life of Beijing locals, feel the warm and down-to-earth alley atmosphere far away from the bustling tourist areas, and fully understand the unique hutong culture that defines old Beijing's soul.

As night falls, head to Shichahai, the most charming water town-style leisure area in central Beijing, integrating ancient architecture, lake scenery and lively folk nightlife. Surrounded by well-preserved ancient courtyard buildings and lush green willows, the shimmering lake surface reflects soft night lights and antique eaves, creating a peaceful and romantic ancient city night scene. Stroll along the lakeside pedestrian paths, wander through characteristic teahouses, creative bars and local snack stalls, taste authentic Beijing folk snacks, and enjoy the relaxed, lively and cozy night charm of old Beijing's core water landscape area. Excellent service and a stress-free family trip from start to finish

This 11-day private tour through Shanghai, Suzhou, and Hangzhou was one of the most enjoyable family trips we have ever taken. What really stood out for us was the service from start to finish. Jennifer was our main contact from Buer China Travel and she was absolutely fantastic. She responded quickly to every message, patiently adjusted the itinerary multiple times based on our preferences, and always made us feel like everything was under control. It really gave us peace of mind before even arriving in China. During the trip, everything ran smoothly. There were no stressful moments at all. Our guide was extremely kind, patient, and very knowledgeable. She had a wonderful way of explaining the history behind each site without making it feel like a lecture, and she was especially good with our children, which made a huge difference for our family. We also appreciated how flexible the itinerary was. We never felt rushed, and we had enough time to truly enjoy each destination, whether it was walking along West Lake in Hangzhou or exploring the classical gardens in Suzhou. Overall, this was a very well-organized and thoughtfully designed trip. We would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting China for the first time.
