West Lake Private Cruise
First, embark on a private cruise on West Lake, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the crown jewel of Hangzhou. We drive directly to a quiet, less crowded lakeside pier for exclusive boarding. Glide over the calm, glassy waters framed by weeping willows and blooming lotus ponds. Pass iconic landmarks including the elegant Su and Bai Causeways, lush lotus ponds and the legendary Three Pools Mirroring the Moon—one of China's top scenic wonders. Your knowledgeable guide will share vivid imperial history, poetic legends and local folklore, allowing you to soak in the misty, timeless lake scenery at your own leisurely pace. The cruise lasts approximately 60 minutes.
Leifeng Pagoda Sightseeing
Then, drive a short distance to explore Leifeng Pagoda(about 15 minutes). Enjoy skip-the-line entry to avoid long queues. Admire its elegant curved eaves, intricate wooden carvings and classic Southern Song Dynasty architectural style. Walking in Yunqi Bamboo Path
Then, take a relaxing stroll along Yunqi Bamboo Path, a peaceful ancient forest trail nestled in the lush hills. Crystal-clear mountain streams trickle alongside the stone path, creating a soothing natural melody. Dotted with traditional craft shops, snack stalls and old tea houses, it's a perfect spot to experience authentic Hangzhou culture. Stroll leisurely along flagstone lanes, taste iconic local snacks like sweet osmanthus cakes and crispy shrimp crackers, and browse handcrafted silk, jade ornaments and delicate paper cuttings. Your guide will recommend hidden local food stalls and authentic souvenirs, helping you avoid tourist traps. After the tour, drive back to your hotel for a rest.
Tour of Lingyin Temple and Feilai Peak
After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up again and drive comfortably into the misty Lingyin Mountains. On the way, your guide will share stories of the area's 1,700-year Buddhist history. Lingyin Temple, known as the "Soul of Southeast China Buddhism" and one of China's most important ancient Buddhist temples. Nestled in a lush mountain valley, it boasts majestic halls housing golden Buddha statues, ancient stone pagodas, serene courtyards and towering old trees with centuries of history. Adjacent to the temple lies Feilai Peak, a unique limestone hill hiding over 160 well-preserved Song and Yuan Dynasty stone carvings in cool caves. Wander through the caves, admire intricate Buddha and arhat statues, and learn about Buddhist symbolism and carving stories from your guide. The visit offers a profound insight into ancient Chinese Buddhist art and Zen philosophy.
Zenistic Resting in Amanfayun
Then, take a 10-minute leisurely walk to explore Amanfayun, a secluded mountain Zen village untouched by modern crowds and commercialization. This hidden gem preserves original Ming and Qing Dynasty stone houses, with narrow stone lanes winding past small lotus ponds, lush tea gardens and quiet tea houses. Walk slowly through peaceful lanes, breathe in fresh mountain air scented with tea and bamboo, and experience the harmonious blend of Zen philosophy, tea culture and rural life. It's a perfect spot to escape the hustle and bustle and embrace tranquility.
West Lake Wetland Cruise
Then we will take a car ride for about forty minutes to Xixi Wetland. You can take a boat and a tram to tour Xixi Wetland (included in the group tour fee). It is called "the kidney of Hangzhou". This large urban wetland, covering an area of 11.5 square kilometers, has crisscrossing waterways, endless reed marshes, blooming lotus ponds, and ancient water villages with white walls and black tiles. Take a private electric boat and navigate through the peaceful waterways. Explore three key attractions: the wild Shan Tai with original natural scenery, the seven-story Hezhu Tower (which offers a panoramic view of the entire wetland), and Hezhu Street with old shops and local snacks. Your guide will explain the knowledge about the wetland ecology and the history of the water town. The entire tour of Xixi Wetland will last for more than two hours. It is recommended that you prepare snacks and mineral water in advance. The scenic area also has places to buy snacks and beverages, but preparing in advance will save you a lot of expenses.After the tour, drive back to central Hangzhou, concluding your wonderful journey.
